Placement Phase

Challenging and Rewarding Phase

This was a challenging and rewarding phase because it required hard work to achieve the desired rewards.

Strategy: My strategy was simple. I prepared thoroughly for HR rounds and spent six months studying for technical aspects. With coaching finished, I had 24 hours at my disposal.

Daily Schedule:

  1. Sleep: 7-8 hours

  2. Pooja: 1 hour

  3. Book reading: 1 hour

  4. Blogging: 1 hour

  5. Aptitude practice: 1 hour

  6. Technical study: 1 hour

  7. Coding practice: 2 hours

  8. Newspaper reading: 15 minutes

  9. Watching the news: 15 minutes

  10. Exercise: 20 minutes

  11. Technical MCQs: 20 minutes

For Aptitude:

  1. Pre-DAC questions

Placement Journey: I got placed on the 5th call, which was at CDAC Pune. I analyzed each call as follows:

Placement Call 1: CDAC Delhi

Position: CDAC faculty as a trainer abroad

Result: I was unable to clear the aptitude test.

What went wrong:

  1. Lack of preparation due to insufficient time between project completion and the interview.

  2. Unchangeable past circumstances.

What went right:

  1. My confidence

  2. My attitude

  3. My approach

  4. My focus

  5. My punctuality

Placement Call 2: Talent Recruit

What went wrong:

  1. Attitude: It went wrong.

  2. Preparation: Lost touch with studies.

  3. Patience: Diminished.

  4. Confidence: Lost.

  5. Health: Declined.

  6. Routine: Disrupted habit of waking at 4:00 a.m.

  7. Hope: Lost.

  8. Happiness: Diminished.

What went right: Nothing went right. Let's focus on the 'Do' part.

Placement Call 3: Hoanartek

What went wrong:

  1. Coding round: Lack of preparation.

What went right:

  1. Positive attitude and willingness.

  2. Luck.

  3. Test and Group Discussion (GD) went very well.

Placement Call 4: Quick Heal

What went wrong:

  1. Lack of preparation: More practice needed, especially for the coding round.

What went right:

  1. Attitude

  2. Confidence

Placement Call 5: CDAC Pune

What went wrong: Nothing.

What went right:

  1. Timing and day

  2. Attitude and confidence

  3. Reading of notes

  4. Project

  5. I went to the right panel.

My first call was CDAC Delhi, which I could not clear. CDAC Pune was my 5th call, and I joined it. This journey continued for another 1.5 years as I worked for CDAC and went to the client site in Bangalore.
