C-CAT Results
Preparing for C-CAT: A Journey of Determination
I studied diligently and appeared for the exam confidently. I was certain I would clear it.
I took the exam twice. If you're planning to take the C-CAT, you should consider doing the same. Within 7 days, you get an idea of the exam pattern, and if you study hard, there's a good chance your rank will improve in the second attempt.
My friends Suraj and Tushar are examples of this, as am I, although I had less time to study due to my job.
In December 2018, I was working from Mumbai at Saurabh's place. I had a strong feeling that I would clear the exam. I knew that if I were to take admission, I would consider CDAC Kharghar. Saurabh lives in Kamothe, so I stayed there for 10 days.
We had lengthy discussions about whether I should pursue the course in Mumbai or Pune.
When the results came, I had cleared both exams. My rank was around 4200 for the first exam and around 2800 for the second one.
Navigating CDAC Admissions
Filling out the options was free, so I made a list and applied.
For the exam with a rank of 4200, I got selected for YCP, and for the exam with a rank of 2800, I got selected for Infoway in the first round. By then, I was sure I wanted to go for DAC.
I decided against pursuing the course in Mumbai for one reason:
I planned to work in Pune, the IT hub, and wanted to create contacts and references while the course was ongoing.
I visited Infoway but hoped to get admission to Know IT. The manager at Infoway said my rank was good and I would get a better center in the second round. He advised me to confirm my admission for now. I visited the center with my father to understand the timings.
My first 4200 ranked application was discarded, and I got admission to Know IT in the second round. A new journey was about to begin.
